Mark completed his Bachelor of Jurisprudence in 1981. He also has a Bachelor of Social Work and has worked in the field of psychiatric rehabilitation.
Mark was admitted to practice as a lawyer in Victoria in 1990. His area of specialty is domestic building law. He works extensively in the areas of contract law, commercial litigation, insurance law and alternative dispute resolution.
In 2004, Mark was invited to join the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal's Domestic Building List Users Group. Mark is also a member of the Building Dispute Practitioner's Society and the Law Institute of Victoria's Litigation Section.
